Capital One Venture X Business overview
The Capital One Venture X Business is the business version of the fan-favorite Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card. Like its personal counterpart, the Venture X Business offers luxury perks for a reasonable annual fee and a simple earning structure of at least 2 miles per dollar on all purchases. This is a great option for small-business owners who value simplicity. Card rating*: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½
* Card rating is based on the opinion of TPG’s editors and is not influenced by the card issuer.
Since its debut in 2021, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Card has been a major player in the premium card space, offering luxury benefits like airport lounge access and a valuable travel credit for a relatively low annual fee.
And now, the Capital One Venture X Business is publicly available. It comes with the same $395 annual fee (see Venture X Business rates and fees; Venture X rates and fees) and many of the same benefits we’ve come to love in the Venture X: generous airport lounge access, a travel credit and the option to add a limited number of authorized users for no additional fee (see rates and fees).
The major difference between the personal and business offerings, however, is the welcome bonus. The Venture X Business has come in swinging with a valuable welcome offer — along with an eyebrow-raising spending requirement to earn it.
This card requires an excellent credit score, which Capital One defines as 800 or above.
Here’s what you need to know if you’re considering applying for the Capital One Venture X Business card.
Capital One Venture X Business welcome offer
The Capital One Venture X Business is offering a huge bonus to those who can meet its lofty spending requirement. New applicants can earn 150,000 bonus miles after spending $30,000 in the first three months from account opening.
THE POINTS GUY
You can redeem Capital One miles for a statement credit to cover travel purchases at a flat rate of 1 cent per mile. If you choose this route, the 150,000-mile bonus is worth an impressive $1,500.
But if you take advantage of the option to transfer your miles to Capital One’s valuable hotel and airline partners, you’ll get a much higher value of $2,775 from this bonus, according to TPG’s valuations.

Capital One Venture X Business benefits
The Venture X Business has many of the same perks that have made its personal counterpart so popular. As a cardholder, you’ll get:
A $300 credit for travel booked through Capital One Travel
10,000 bonus miles each year at your cardmember anniversary, worth $185 according to TPG’s valuations
Unlimited access to Capital One Lounges (currently open in Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dulles International Airport) as well as Priority Pass and Plaza Premium lounges for you and up to two guests

Access Capital One’s Premier Collection and Lifestyle Collection hotels
An up-to-$100 statement credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years
Limited number of authorized users for no additional cost (see rates and fees)
No foreign transaction fees (see rates and fees)
If you can maximize these benefits, you’ll easily justify the card’s $395 annual fee. Those who spend significant time in Dallas Fort Worth or Dulles airports will especially appreciate this card’s unlimited access to the Capital One Lounges since a single visit typically costs $65.

Earning miles on the Capital One Venture X Business

2 miles per dollar on all other purchases

This simple earning structure means you won’t have to worry about whether your purchase falls in a bonus-earning category. However, if you do spend a large portion of your business budget in categories like shipping and advertising, you might find that you’ll get a better return on a different business credit card.

Redeeming miles on the Capital One Venture X Business
Your most valuable redemption option is to transfer your miles to any of Capital One’s 18 hotel and airline partners.
However, you can also redeem your miles to book travel through Capital One Travel, for a statement credit to cover travel purchases or to purchase gift cards at a flat rate of 1 cent per mile. You can redeem your miles for cash back, but you’ll get a much lower value of 0.5 cents per mile with this option, so we recommend avoiding it whenever possible.

Is the Capital One Venture X Business worth it?
The annual travel credit and anniversary points you’ll get with the Venture X Business easily justify its annual fee, and that doesn’t even account for the value you’ll get from the other card perks like airport lounge access. However, the card’s welcome bonus has a spending requirement that many businesses will struggle to meet. So if your business has fewer expenses, you’ll likely be better off with the personal version of the card.

Bottom line
The Capital One Venture X Business Credit Card is a great option for small-business owners who put a significant amount of spending on their credit card and want the simplicity of a flat earning rate on all their purchases. However, those who won’t meet the spending requirement to earn the card’s welcome bonus or want to earn more on specific business purchases should opt for a different card.
